This year's festivities will start off with a Square Dance at the Gays Mills Community Building on Friday Night, May 9th at 7:00 with the Folk Festival's two favorite callers Tim Jenkins and Sue Hulsether.  The Folk Fest String Band will be providing the tunes, and live callers will be leading the dances: Circles, Squares, Contras, Reels.  All ages and all experience levels welcome. 

 

Saturday's events will take place in the Park on Main Street and at the Community Building downtown.   Parking lot Picking, Maycrown Making, Food & Drink, Square Dancing, Open Stage, and Workshops.   The Big Top Tent will ensure the afternoon's fun, rain or shine. Help support our Folkfest by participating in our SILENT AUCTION. 

 

Saturday's affair will continue with a 7:30 evening concert in at the community building in Gays Mills. Featured performers will be Michael Lee Ammons and the Water Street Hot Shots, Ditchlilies and New Bad Habits. A Sunday Morning Gospel Sing, by the banks of the Kickapoo River, will wrap up the weekend's events.
