This year's festivities will start off with a Square Dance at the Gays Mills Community Building on Friday Night, May 6th at 7:00 with the Folk Festival's favorite callers Tim Jenkins, Sue Hulsether and Jesse Downs. The Folk Fest String Band will be providing the tunes, and live callers will be leading the dances: Circles, Squares, Contras, Reels. All ages and all experience levels welcome.
Saturday's events will take place in the Park on Main Street and at the Community Building downtown. Parking lot Picking, Maycrown Making, Food & Drink, Square Dancing, Open Stage, and Workshops. The Lion's Club Shelter will ensure the afternoon's fun, rain or shine. Help support our Folkfest by participating in our SILENT AUCTION.
Saturday's
affair will continue with a 7:30 evening concert at the community building in Gays Mills. The Dolly Wagglers will emcee the event which features performances by Spider John Koerner, The Cajun Strangers, and Ethel Lerum. A Sunday
Morning Gospel Sing, by the banks of the Kickapoo River, will wrap up the
weekend's events.
Weekend Pass
including admission to all activities:
$20 for adults, $5 for kids or $45 for a family
Tickets for individual events:
Friday night square dance is $5 for adults and $2 for kids
Saturday afternoon workshops and events cost $5 for adults and $2 for kids
Saturday night concert is $15 for adults and $5 for kids
Sunday morning gospel sing is a free will offering
